Pregnancy swelling, when to seek treatment?

I’ve posted this in the pregnancy section as well, but I know that answers come slow this time of night so I figured I’d post here as well.

I am currently 38 weeks pregnant, my next appointment with my OB is not until next thursday in the afternoon and I would feel silly calling labor and delivery at 3:30 in the morning.

I know that swelling is normal, I’ve been swelling off and on for weeks on end. But now I am unable for the last few hours to even wiggle my toes. Normall I’ll put my sneakers on as it reduces the swelling but I can’t even get my shoes on over my toes!

How long is the treatment for depression?

I had depression &anxiety with my first pregnancy.Loneliness was the cause. Also my husband was not accepying that I had a problem. He thought I shouldn’t take medication and behave myself. He was convinced when I went to the extent of suicidal thoughts.I went on zoloft and felt ok. I tried to discontinue zoloft a couple of times, but everytime I did my symptoms returned. But usually my symptoms returned when there was a cause like pregnancy, postpartum period or being away from family.
I am wondering if depression returned due to stopping medication or due to the causes?I decided that I will not discontinue and took zoloft for a year.
Now 35 weeks pregnant with 2nd baby,I stopped zoloft about 2 months ago and was feeling fine. I thought I recovered. But recently,I am being tested for thyroid cancr & though I don’t have a full bout of depression,I’m feeling anxious.
Nobody likes to take medicine forever.Wondering if I will ever recover or have to be on medication forever?
