Are there signs and symptoms of menopause? Absolutely! It is a logical question to ask with millions of women experiencing one or more of the signs and symptoms of menopause at this very moment! The so-called ‘change’ will happen, but experiencing many of the symptoms of menopause as early as ages 30′s or 40′s is not normal.

Some of the signs listed below are subtle and may appear to have little relationship to being menopause symptoms. Here is a list of common signs and symptoms of menopause:

Menopause is the border that appears in a woman’s life between the reproductive part and the non-reproductive part. Usually, this transition appears around the age of 50 but it is never exact. For some women, the change can come earlier while for others can come later. It depends on the biological clock of every woman.

Perimenopause is the part of a woman’s life ranging 2-8 years before the actual menopause, caused by the beginning of hormone levels to change going up and down, creating fluctuations in the menstrual cycles. This stage usually appears in a woman’s life between the ages of 40 and 50. The menstrual changes may appear in some cases in the late 30′s once the hormones levels start dropping and the fertility naturally declines, while for others, those signs appear only in the late 40′s.

Symptoms of Perimenopause

Perimenopause, or pre-menopause is a transitional stage of two to ten years before complete cessation of the menstrual period. Its average duration is six years, and can appear in women from 35 to 50 years of age. Perimenopause marks the interval in which your body begins its transition into menopause. Perimenopause lasts up until menopause, the point when the ovaries stop releasing eggs. In the last one to two years of perimenopause, this decline in estrogen accelerates. Perimenopause lasts from six to 10 years for most women. This stage begins gradually during regular cycles and ends when a year has passed since the final menstrual period. Perimenopause encompasses the years leading up to menopause anywhere from two to eight years plus the first year after your final period. It’s a natural part of aging that signals the ending of your reproductive years. Many women experience relief from hot flashes after taking low-dose birth control pills for a short period of time. Approximately 25% will begin to have night sweats. About 20-30% will have abnormally heavy flow for one or more cycles.

Anxiety problems giving me symptoms?

I’m seventeen and I’ve been dealing with Generalized Anxiety Disorder with panic attacks my entire life.

Recently, I’ve become very worried about whether or not I’ll get pregnant because I had some breakthrough bleeding on the Pill. I asked my doctor and she said breakthrough bleeding doesn’t reduce protection, but having anxiety of course I still worry!

Lately I’ve been having some nausea after anything I eat and I have pretty bad chest pains. It feels like something in my chest is going to pop if I breath in or out too hard. I’ve had these symptoms before when I was going through rather stressful times, but now of course I’m convinced they mean pregnancy. I don’t have any other symptoms.

Anxiety and physical symptoms… please help!?

Okay so ive been to a few Drs now, and nobody has given me any sort of diagnosis. My next step is a chiropractor. but was hoping maybe someone could help. Ive had pains for over a year now. I have anxiety and fear a blood clot. Ive had three ultrasounds and numerous D-Dimer tests. All negative. I am active, walk three miles a day, I got through pregnancy without a blood clot. So im not sure to what is causing this continous pain. Could I have a blood clot?? What should I do. The pain is in my inner thigh at the moment, but comes and goes to different parts of my legs.

It all started after reading a story of a woman dieing from a blood clot after a c-section, while I was pregnant, Im not 8 months postpartum, and still have this fear, I was sure it would go away after giving birth. but nope still here. I was also wondering if this could be anxiety, I know u can get physical symptoms, such as chest pain, dizziness ect, but can leg pains be one of them?? any insight would help!

What could these pregnancy symptoms mean then?

2 months of nausea and dizziness for nothing. i got a negative test result.. so what could these also indicate:???

1. tender breasts
2. sore breasts
3. spotting
4. lighter than normal period.
5. runny nose
6. headaches (rare but like over 5 in 2 months)
7. nosebleeds (every time i deal with nose which is hardly)
8. looking roundish
9. vomiting (once)
10. backaches… the 2nd month
11. frequent urination.
12. food cravings
13. mood swings.
14. constipation-diarrhea.. hard to poo but it’s soft actually and hurts a lot to poo every time. didn’t have essential vits at first but now i bought me a multivitamin but got a neg. test result.

it says: Other Explanations: Poor diet, lack of a certain nutrient, stress, depression, or impending menstruation. but what if it was like every day for 2 months? i just don’t get it.. poor diet.. maybe? but i always ate.. we were low on money… but now have it made better. what certain nutrient would it be? i had stress before… i had anxiety got depression pills. i don’t think i’m depressed.. sometimes i may have thoughts but not always feel depressed.. rarely do. i felt it all days between cycle periods too… it’s weird though.. so what should i do? what’s wrong.. i can’t see a doctor just yet.

I mean I suffer from mild depression but for about the last 3 or 4 weeks my body had just been sore and i’ve lost all of 20 lbs and I have no desire to eat. I can go days without anything and i’m fine. I feel dizzy for no apparent reason. HELP
Yea yea i know crazy question but i’m losing my mind.
