acid and reflux is a problem that many people encounter which means that most of them know some of the symptoms. Heartburn regurgitation and dyspepsia are some of the common signs. Generally all these are caused by the acid in the stomach or some food content backing up to the mouth from the stomach. There are numerous reasons why a baby or child would need G-tube and fundoplication surgery at such a young age but regardless of the reason there are many pros and cons involved that the parents should know about. Fundoplication is a surgery where the top part of the stomach is wrapped around the lowest part of the esophagus; this is usually done to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) if medications have proven to be ineffective for the child.

Last year alone millions upon millions of heartburn sufferers bought more than 25 billion dollars worth of proton pump inhibitors making this product one of the biggest pharmaceutical product sellers worldwide. Although the medical communities are endorsing and promoting Proton pump inhibitors as being a safe heaven for acid and reflux and ulcer sufferers recent reports have exposed some shocking revelation about the inducting side effects of these products.

Gastric acid and reflux disease is one of the most common stomach problems in the entire world. It is reported to affect the lives of one third of the total population every single day. Although this study says otherwise some people still think that gastric acid and reflux is not that common. However what they fail to realize is that most of the time people think that the symptoms that they are feeling are only caused by stress not a particular disease. This is why it is very important to read about gastric acid and reflux.

Many expectant mothers experience panic attacks. Pregnancy actually tends to make the symptoms more pronounced. The symptoms can be very scary and they tend to cause a lot of unneeded stress. Most future mothers tend to be overly cautious and a little nervous. These two emotions leave them very vulnerable to panic and anxiety.

Women typically start developing panic and anxiety at various stages of pregnancy. The symptoms are most likely to develop either during the initial stages of pregnancy or after their children are born. Then there are the women that have already suffered from panic… the ones with a preexisting condition. These women have a tendency to be negatively affected by panic during pregnancy. Hormonal changes are typically the culprit for these emotions and fears.

There is a blurry line between typical panic symptoms and pregnancy symptoms. Most pregnant women experience symptoms such as headaches, irritability, fatigue, and nausea. Unfortunately these are also symptoms of panic disorders. Pregnancy is extremely stressful… and for many women it’s also a scary time. Women have many emotions and they want everything to turn out okay… it’s at times like these when anxious thoughts can get the best of you… it’s at times like these that you’re the most vulnerable to panic attacks.

If you do nothing about them, panic and anxiety will linger…they do not go away. As you reach the later stages of pregnancy you’ll notice your panic attacks becoming more pronounced and causing more anxiety. Irrational fears of harming your child are very common at this point. Remember, panic will never hurt you… or your baby. Be careful in the later stages of pregnancy… panic and anxiety can get out of control and cause frequent stomach cramps. This type of cramping is often mistaken for contractions.

So what should you do if you have panic attacks during pregnancy?

Mothers that are prone to panic attacks during pregnancy should remain around family and friends and maintain a good support system. They should also have regular checkups… preferably on a weekly basis, as these tend to be reassuring. Fortunately for you panic disorders are fairly easy to control… you do not need to let them affect your lifestyle or your relationships with your family and friends.

You want to stay away from medications for panic attacks. Pregnancy is a good reason to find natural, safe, and effective treatments for panic attacks. There are many options for you that are much healthier and more effective than prescription medications.

Are you concerned that anxiety or panic attacks may be ruining your life?

I used to struggle with anxious thoughts and even had panic attacks alcohol problems. Until I decided to download this Free Report.

I was hesitant about all of the bogus products and methods out there…

Finally I decided to visit panic away review and I am thrilled at how my life has changed for the better.

We’ve been together 10 yrs. and all I’ve ever wanted was to be his wife and year after year and 2 kids later I had to basically beg to get him to ask me. When I told him that I don’t want to do it just because he felt bad for my crying about it and I want it to be something he wants too he said he does but I just don’t believe him. I can’t rely on my feelings and emotions because they are so out of wack right now due to the ridiculously stressful life I’ve subjected myself too, so 1 min he’s awesome and the next I wish I could just pack up and be gone, but it’s never that easy. I do suffer from depression and anxiety and I know I am not an ideal girlfriend but I bend over backwards and do flips for this man something that I rarely see from him. I put him through a lot with my mood swings and just plain ol psychoticness but I feel justified in my bad treatment of him because I feel like I’ve given so much of myself to him and his family without any regard for me and my feelings. In my heart I feel like I will never be his first priority and that his mother and sister will always come first and it makes me so sad and it really hurts to think that we’ve spent so time together and been through so much, I’ve slept in hotels/cars with him for 3 years, had 3 abortions because he told me the pregnancy was my decision and we really can’t afford to have children so I thought I was doing what he wanted me to do,
I wash his clothes,
clean the house,
take care of the kids,
pay the bills (which I have not been doing lately because I don’t know why I just get so stressed)
allow his mother and sister to live with us because they get evicted (3 times now more than 6 months each situation)
becoming more sexual
play taxi (at least twice a week I have to pick either him or his mother up after I just worked a 9 hr shift being up since 4 am and sitting in traffic for hours, the list can go on but I do love this man although I think he can be such an ass because if I complain about doing any of the things listed above then I am not being a team player and I wonder wtf is he talking about because I am the team!!! But on the other hand he is sweet, he used to make me laugh but now I’m always so mad his jokes aren’t funny, I know he is a good man and together we can make things happen but I am really scared that I will not be made a priority and that I will end up hurting myself if I continue to stay I just want some peace and to be able to have our place/space to really grow up I am 27 and he is 29 and neither of us have ever really lived on our own except for our short 6 month breaks when I decided we need to move and get our own. I love his mother and sister but I want them to have their own lives and home and let us raise our family together and stop being so selfish but will I ever really be #1 to him and if we get married will he realize that he is now our family LEADER and take that responsibility seriously or will I continue to be the underdog although I am putting out the most results someone please help me I am at a loss!!!
I put the details because I kind of need to vent also, I feel like an idiot when I try to talk to my friends or family because I don’t want to appear needy, I am currently in therapy to try and make some type of sense of my life and get it on track so I can be more productive for my children. Thank you all for even taking the time to read through all that and giving your advice I really appreciate it alot :0)!!
last addition, the reason I have to play taxi is because he and I are the ones with cars, his mom and sister’s cars were repo’d about 2-3 years ago and they have been relying on us to get around or driving his truck because I won’t let them take my car if it’s not work related.

You are about to discover more information about ovarian cysts during pregnancy and how to treat the cysts that are safe for you and your baby.

It is actually common for women to suffer from ovarian cysts during pregnancy and usually these cysts are not dangerous and do dissolve. However, it does not change the fact that these cysts can cause much discomfort and pain to the mother.

Also during pregnancy, treatment options are limited because your doctor cannot prescribe, birth control pills or any form of hormonal pills. The fact these treatment options are so limited during pregnancy your doctor usually will not have any option but to perform surgery if these cysts becomes any larger.

If your doctor proposes surgery, your doctor will perform surgery between the 13th and 20th weeks of pregnancy. If it is non-emergency surgery that is required the surgery will be postponed after the first trimester.

Unfortunately, surgery cannot prevent cysts from appearing again. Therefore, even after the removal of the cysts during pregnancy the chances are these cysts will develop again.

However, an approach you can use that will not interfere with a woman’s pregnancy is to take an approach of getting rid of ovarian cysts naturally.

By taking a natural approach, you will target the actual cause of why these cysts are forming and work towards preventing it from developing again in the future. In addition, this approach is not as aggressive like normal treatment.

This approach will also help woman get rid of, stress during pregnancy. By using a natural approach to relief pain and treat ovarian cysts, you will not mask the symptoms but rather go after the underlying causes of the cysts.

The facts are that as a pregnant mother, the fear and uncertainty of dealing with ovarian cysts during pregnancy can be a very emotional and taxing time. Even if you remove these cysts now the possibility of the cysts returning is real.

Now to help you get rid of your fear and anxiety I found a way where you can relief the pain and prevent the cysts from returning that is safe for you and your baby. Go to http://www.healthy-women.info and find out how.

While there are many conditions that can bring about Ringing Ears Pregnancy symptoms or Tinnitus you should take note of anything that happens to you during this time. It’s important to know that not everyone hears the same things and sounds may range from ringing to running water.

Regardless of why Ringing Ears Pregnancy happens it can still be a major bother to you and can be made even more frustrating by your state of health. Being pregnant brings on its own set of emotional challenges and a minor annoyance before might be a major problem now. But the major questions of what it is and how to get rid of it still remain.

The common causes of Tinnitus are due to damage, irritation, or blockage of a person’s auditory system. It can be brought on naturally with old age or by listening to loud music repeatedly without giving your ears time to heal. While it strikes the older generations quicker than the younger ones it is indiscriminate and can cause ringing in anyone’s ears.

While Ringing Ears Pregnancy symptoms are common due to bodily changes you can also suffer from Tinnitus during this time. It’s important to consult with your doctor immediately if you start hearing strange sounds in order to make sure you’re doing okay. It may be something minor such as a cold or it may be a symptom of a larger problem that you need to address.

The most important thing that you can do with Ringing Ears Pregnancy symptoms is to take notice of when they strike you. If you are having it repeatedly at the same time of night then try to keep a journal and write this down to help your doctor diagnose the problem. There are many medical conditions that can bring these symptoms and problems about but there are also perfectly legitimate reasons as well. Being stressed out over your current situation is completely normal when pregnant and it can cause an increase in your blood pressure. This as well as not getting enough sleep can lead to ringing in your ears.

If you suffer these problems while pregnant know that you have choices for treatment. There are various natural choices as well as medical choices available to you. Do note that certain medical treatments might actually make the ringing worse or bring on full scale Tinnitus. It’s important to be aware of the side effects of any medication you’re given before taking.

Due to the increase of blood flow throughout a woman’s body Pulsatile Tinnitus and its symptoms can strike as well. This form of Tinnitus gives off a whooshing or running water sound in rhythm with your own heartbeat. Due note that this is a normal side effect of being pregnant but if you suffer with it excessively either before or after your pregnancy consult a doctor immediately. It may be indicant of a more severe problem.

While Ringing Ears Pregnancy symptoms and Tinnitus can be benign in many cases they can still be aggravating to deal with. It’s advisable that if you suffer from these symptoms at night when you’re trying to go to bed that you try putting on some music at low volume or use a noise machine. If these aren’t available or don’t work you can also try honing in on the sound of your computer running or an air purifier in the background. These will distract you from the ringing in your ears and allow you to fall asleep.

If however your Ringing Ears Pregnancy problems re caused by your pregnancy itself then it will dissipate after your pregnancy is over. If you are having trouble dealing with the noise until then talk to your doctor about various medical and natural treatments that can be taken without damaging your child.

My period was due Friday, I’ve had no symptoms except being really hungry until today. I’ve had this feeling that I’m going to throw up and it has been coming and going all day. Also, I’m experiencing a lot of anxiety. I’ve heard stories of panic attacks during pregnancy. I know that nobody on here is a human pregnancy test and can detect HCg, but what do you think before I run out and buy a pregnancy test? I’m trying to play the waiting game.
Now that you mention it, I AM pretty sure that the nausea and anxiety are linked. I’ve suffered from panic attacks since I was a kid, so maybe the fact that my period’s late and I’m experiencing some mild symptoms, I’m freaking out.

Congratulations if you have just come to know that you are pregnant. Everybody must be telling you so many things about the different stages of pregnancy now. Right! It is true that now you must know how you as well as your baby with grow with pregnancy week by week. You must keep adequately well-informed so that you do not panic at the drop of the hat any time during your pregnancy!

So, What Are These Stages of Pregnancy?

The stages of pregnancy are the three trimesters that have duration of three months each.

Stage 1

The first stage begins with morning sickness, though why it is called so, one wonders since this nausea can happen anytime throughout the day! Breast heaviness, general exhaustion and of course an upheaval of emotions are the other pregnancy symptoms of the first trimester.

The joy of imminent motherhood along with constant worries about labor, delivery, parenthood etc., will change your moods as if you were the clock pendulum during this stage! Keeping a close watch on your pregnancy diet and regular doctor-approved exercise is a must. Your baby, meanwhile, will have progressed from just a couple of cells to becoming a small living being in these first three months.

Stage 2

The second trimester is that stage of pregnancy by when you will become accustomed to some of the changes. With butterfly kicks fluttering inside you, you would actually feel the little one nesting in you. The sickness bit would have mostly ended and you will find that you are eager to discuss your pregnancy with others, so that views can be exchanged and new insights explored.

Physical changes would mean that your tummy will be slightly distended; the urge to urinate will be more and quite uncontrollable, your nipples will darken. On the brighter side, you will get your appetite back, as well as have a heightened sexual drive. This is the most enjoyable period in all of the three stages of pregnancy.

Last, But Not The Least Stage 3

Finally, you would enter at the last trimester – the beginning of the end to the stages of pregnancy. This period would seem to crawl on slowly, what with a big, swollen tummy and the anxiety to quickly get child birth over with. The fear of delivery pains, general all-day fatigue, combined with sleeping problems, swollen feet, frequent urination, will make days seem very slow and laborious.

Many women grow restless, as they develop what is called the Nesting urge. It is important now that you follow every part of your doctor advice, so that complications can be avoided. Your pregnancy is going to be over soon and you will be a momma, so take extreme care and caution.

Remember, a pregnancy is once-in-a-lifetime experience. So, try to have fun and enjoy your stages of pregnancy. Best of luck!

If you’re thinking about a career in acupuncture you’ll want to learn how and where you can earn a certificate or degree in acupuncture. Perhaps you’re already familiar with the field of acupuncture but if not you’ll want to find out all you can both online and offline. It’s thought that acupuncture has been practiced in China for at least 2,000 years and some think it’s probably been practiced at least 3,000 years or so.

First of all you’ll want to choose an acupuncture school that offers consultation services for its graduates. The schools that do, allow graduates after graduation, to consult with instructors regarding care of their patients. You’ll also want to check to see if your state is on the national list of about 49 acupuncture schools with accredited programs and you’ll want to find an acupuncture school that offers smaller classes.

Acupuncture schools that offer courses in traditional Chinese medicine often include related training or courses in traditional medicine, such as anatomy and physiology, body therapy, massage therapy, and other sciences. For naturopathy schools that offer acupuncture programs there is a list called the: List of Accredited Natural Medicine Colleges in North America. Check with the school you’re considering making sure they have a wide selection of study resources available so you can have all the essential acupuncture materials for a broad learning experience.

You’ll also want to find out what the acupuncture training, school and program options are in your home area. Try to find a school whose program emphasizes courses in traditional Chinese medicine because acupuncture is just one element of traditional Chinese medicine. There are a few acupuncture schools that teach acupuncture practitioners the five-element Oriental medicine approach to acupuncture, which is often used in conjunction with the traditional Western medical practices.

Acupuncture is used for: arthritis, headaches, migraines, to quit smoking, to lose weight , fertility, fibromyalgia, depression, insomnia, face lifts as in facial acupuncture, back pain, high blood pressure, pregnancy, cosmetic purposes, anxiety, panic attacks, Crohn’s disease, asthma and on dogs and other pets or animals as in veterinary acupuncture.

If you haven’t experienced acupuncture make to visit an acupuncture clinic to learn more about acupuncture. You might want to talk to an acupuncture specialist or naturopath about a possible acupuncture career also. Talk to the financial aid counselors at the acupuncture school or college you’re considering to see if they have any ideas or suggestions for scholarships, grants or education loans if you need to finance your training.

Before you commit to any acupuncture school or to any acupuncture training you can check out the “Fundamentals of Chinese Acupuncture” by Ellis, Wiseman, and Bosson. This excellent textbook is used in many acupuncture schools and acupuncture training programs and will give you a better idea if you’d like to pursue acupuncture as a career.

If you haven’t checked already may sure to check and see if you need a license to practice acupuncture in your state. You may not need a license. Get the facts first on which states require licensing. Note that each state and each discipline has its own criteria about how alternative medicine practitioners are to be professionally licensed, if at all.

Acupuncture programs in acupuncture schools can be expensive and usually require three years or so of classes and sometimes up to five years. If you have a naturopathic school in your area, email or give them a call to find out the licensing requirements in your state. If you do get financing help or aid in the form of federal assistance be sure to have selected a school that’s accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).

An acupuncture career has great career growth potential. Just be sure to find out the length of the coursework and the expense upfront and know how you plan to handle it. Many have done it before you. If possible, intern in an acupuncture clinic in your neighborhood to get first hand experience before you decide. But make sure to learn about the licensing requirements for acupuncturists for your state before you do anything else.

Healthy parents raise emotionally healthy babies and a mother’s influence towards the same is great. No body can deny it. Hence it is imperative that females should have good mental health. The reality is, about 20 to 25 percent of women suffers with depression in their life time against 7 to 12 percent of men. This shows that women are very much prone to depressed than men. Depression strikes older women more often than men

In addition to environmental stressors and psychosocial factors, women are also influenced by biological factors to get depressed. That is why women are much prone to getting depressed than men

Reproductive systems like menstrual cycle, pregnancy, post pregnancy, hormonal genetic systems, infertility, decision of not having children, menopause are the leading factors for getting depression for women as far as biological factors are concerned.

Also other factors like Psychological which are clusters of certain personality traits, physical or sexual abuse and inadequate ways of coping problems leads to depression in women. They also have difficulties, coping with the demands of adjustment in newly married lives. In any family women’s initiative in taking care of old parents and upbringing the children are crucial. In addition to that if a mom goes for work, then she has a great responsibility of managing both the work and family. This keeps her running all the time. If women is housewife or becomes old, then she gets a lonely feeling after the children goes for school or job and husband to work. She will start thinking that the busy husband and children are not hearing and understanding her feelings. And if there is no intimate relationship with the husband the problem will be still worse. It will be so severe in case of divorce.

Women face depression due to hormonal changes after giving birth to child. These hormones have an effect on the brain chemistry that controls emotions and mood.

1) Baby blues – It happens in the day’s right after childbirth. The mother’s mood will swing. One time she will be very happy and immediately she will become sad. They feel irritable, impatient, anxious and restless. This will be only for one to two weeks after delivery and do not require any medication .During this period the new mother should socialize with other new mothers. This will help them to become normal.

2) Postpartum depression (PPD) – It can happen immediately after giving birth or even months after child birth. This is strong and effective than baby blue and persists as long as one year. On seriousness it requires medication. This type of depression can happen after the birth of any child and not confined only to the first child.

3) Postpartum psychosis-It happens to new mother within three months after giving birth. This is serious and severe. The mother will go out of reality. The symptoms are insomnia and angry and they need treatment

Researchers indicate that 74.4% women are not depressed either antenatally or postnatally and 4.8% women are depressed on at least one of two occasions’ .But 1.4% women persistently depressed on both occasions.

During menstrual cycle, in some women there will be recurrent brief depression which will be very brief. Some women experience behavioral and physical changes during the phases of their menstrual cycle. In some women the changes begin after ovulation till menstruation starts. It is called Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) – If the same thing is very severe and occurs regularly with other emotional physical changes including irritability and depression then it is called premenstrual dysphonic disorder (PMDD) which requires medication.

In old age during the transition into menopause, some women experience an increased risk for depression. These problems are not for men. Hence women have double the chance of getting depressed than men.

Depression in women is very serious and as a chain reaction it affects the family. Even stress during pregnancy can increase the chance of child getting depressed when becoming an adult. Hence women should be careful and should be aware of depression on how to avoid it. During pregnancy men should take care of their partner and ensure their partner is happy.

The first thing is, all men should understand the biological factors of women which also lead to depression in them. Having understood about that, men should handle the feelings of women in women’s perspective. They should understand the responsibilities of women at workplace and in family. They should be supportive to women. Seventy five percent of the problem will get solved by this.

A woman cannot avoid the biological factors and family responsibility. But what is in her control is her approach towards the issues and how she manages it. Usually women who are very much pessimistic thinkers and having low self esteem are prone to depression.

Education which brings financial freedom for women plays an important role in improving self esteem. They should have good reasoning power and logical approach in dealing with the issues.

Women should be social, they should not be isolated. Having a good network of friends will help them to share the issues and get genuine inputs and solutions to solve problems; this certainly helps in the event of not able to solve the problems of their own. They should not be shy of sharing their problem with others. Women do not assume that others will think that they are worthless if they seek others help. In fact so many people will be glad to help.

For women–Avoid stress, have good eating habits. Think great of you. Always try to be happy. SMILE. Have good sleep. Importantly, plan your finances. Done, you won’t be affected by depression.

I’m going on 11 weeks in my first pregnancy and I just started having major anxiety/panic attacks in the last 4 to 5 days. I start to feel as if I can’t breathe, start shaking, horrible chest pains, dizziness…basically I just feel so terrified that I feel as if I am going to die. I know this sounds horrible, but it just seems like all of my excitement about my pregnancy has just completely disappeared. I’m left feeling empty and just wish this pregnancy would be over. After going through horrible morning sickness ALL day long, every single day I’ve lost every bit of my appetite and now with the panic attacks. I’m starting to hate leaving the house because every time I have in the last week I start having a panic attack I just don’t know what to do anymore. I am having major anxiety about even having to go to the doctor. I don’t even know if I can stand sitting in the waiting room. I have no idea how to even talk about this to my doctor without sounds like a complete insane person as I feel I am now. My husband is acting like it’s all in my head and in reality I know it’s not. It’s just been horrible from people judging me because I couldn’t hold any food or my vitamins down and saying how my baby is not going to be healthy to these terrible panic attacks. I’m just so upset. Any words of encouragement to get me through this?

Pregnancy risks are one of the many things; a woman should be concerned about, once she knows that her baby is on the way. The quality of medical care and awareness of behavioral risk factors has drastically reduced pregnancy related complications today. Yet, it is important that that every woman going through a period of pregnancy is aware of certain things related to her pregnancy week by week.

Pregnancy Risk Factors

Undesirable lifestyles, genetic background, and existing medical conditions are some of the main factors that contribute toward high-risk pregnancy.

How Is Your Lifestyle?

Unhealthful lifestyles before or during pregnancy adds to pregnancy risks. This can negatively affect the long-term health of the mother and newborn child. A would be mother should keep the following points in mind.

1. Quit substance use-Alcohol, drugs and cigarettes harm the developing fetus. Consume coffee and tea in moderation.

2. Learn the importance of nutrition-Avoid certain foods that may harm the unborn baby. Some of these are certain kinds of fish that contain mercury, raw meats and unpasteurized milk that can contain harmful bacteria called Listeria. Eat a balanced diet that contains proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and minerals.

3. Avoid stress and anxiety-Statistical studies have shown that expectant mothers who are distraught by anxiety, fear, and emotional turmoil are more prone to conditions like pregnancy-induced hypertension. This condition is also called Toxemia or Preeclampsia.

4. Exercise in moderation-Vigorous and strenuous physical activity can contribute to pregnancy risks. Consult your doctor for prenatal exercise tips. Moderate walking and light housework are helpful pregnancy exercises.

5. Avoid sex during pregnancy, if your doctor or pregnancy health care provider detects certain significant complications with your pregnancy.

Other Pregnancy Risks

Certain aspects of genetic background and existing medical conditions may add to pregnancy risks. These are:

1. Family history of genetic diseases or birth defects

2. Previous history of pregnancy loss

3. Pre-existing medical conditions, like high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease etc.

4. Age factor such as, getting pregnant before the age of 18 or after 35

5. Chronic anemia

If any of these or other factors hold true for you, it is important to consult your doctor at once.

Seek Support

It is good to keep in mind that pregnancy risks are an unpleasant fact. However have a positive approach towards life. Seek guidance from your doctor and persons close to you. Your husband, for instance can provide great emotional support. All these will go a long way in dispelling fear of pregnancy or labor. Keep in mind that you as a woman is endowed with God greatest gift -that of giving birth to another human being.

When you know the pregnancy risks that you might face in your pregnancy week by week, you can take precautions to avoid them. A high risk pregnancy can be averted with the right pregnancy diet and lifestyle.

I have always been somewhat of an anxious person, maybe more than im willing to admit but about a month ago it really went overboard when i conjured something up in my head that doesnt make sense. It has taken over my daily life since then, where of i have these constant thoughts of disaster but more about things that are unreal and unreasonable. The worst part of it is that i spend my days now trying to convince myself that the things i think about must be true because i thought of them. I feel like if it was something that makes absolutely now sense then i should have been able to let it go as soon as it entered my head, and i haven’t so that is why they feel so real. i’ve become obsessed with researching things on the internet which only makes me feel worse and i am also in therapy. Yesterday i did a consult for hypno therapy, and im hoping that this might work for me, I have over month left of the pregnancy, but i often feel like im not going to make it. tried taking meds, but all they did was make me feel suicidal, and they all take too long to take effect anway. does anxiety really make you do this to yourself? i feel like every other person in the world is normal and im not, and im having a hard time interacting with my new husband and others around me. I’ve never really been familiar with anxiety and or panic disorder, or being really obsessive compulsive. I feel embarrased about some of the things that ive thought about and some of them are things i cant really share with my own husband. What do i do? i need to know that people actually can do this to themselves and that the things that i am thinking about are really unreal. Long story, sorry for that. Thanks to anyone who took the time out to read this one.

A pregnancy panic attack can cause quite alot of concern. It is already a full plate just being pregnant and dealing with the symptoms associated with it already. The symptoms of panic attacks can mimic other medical conditions and is a valid reason to be concerned.

To be on the safe side, especially when pregnant, is to get a checkup and rule out the possibility of any other medical issues. This is important as it will ease your mind and reduce anxiety a bit during this critical stage.

For some, panic attacks only start occurring when pregnancy begins or after it ends. Others may have been dealing with it before the pregnancy for months or years. It is crucial to avoid making rash decisions during this period, as it is not uncommon to question just about everything in your life.

There are some shared symptoms between the attacks and pregnancy. Some of them are the nausea, fatigue, headaches, and irritability. It can be difficult to tell the source of these, but there are also some differences with the panic attacks. Some of these are the constant worrying, anticipating the worst outcomes, and constantly on the watch out for danger.

The actual panic attacks when they happen are easier to tell apart, primarily due to the intense waves of fear and panic. It also involves hyperventilation which can become increasingly difficult to deal with the further into pregnancy you get. Why is this the case?

As the pregnancy goes further along, the symptoms of panic attacks may often feel amplified. It is not just the panic attack, but experiencing it and the fear of harming the baby. Fortunately, the panic or anxiety attacks normally will not cause harm to the baby. With this being said however, there is another precaution to take.

When nearing the final phases things can really get out of control. Stomach cramps are also a symptom of a panic and anxiety attack. This can spark enormous amounts of fear, especially when considering that the baby is due fairly soon. It can be troublesome to tell contractions apart until it really starts. During this time, try to remain around the company of other family, friends, and significant other. This way, should the contractions really start before the time determined by a doctor, you can have help available during this critical time.

Keeping a tab on your pregnancy week by week is a good idea, if you want to avoid unnecessary worries and anxieties. The pregnancy period usually lasts for 40 weeks. The entire period is divided into three stages called pregnancy trimesters. Lets have a look at each stage.

The first trimester starts from week 1 and goes up to week 14. The second trimester lasts from week 15 to 26. The third trimester is from week 27 to week 40. As you approach the 40th week, you are close to experiencing labor contractions. This is the time when you should be all prepared for delivery. The third trimester is the stage of learning. You should attend classes on childbirth and nursing with your spouse so that you become better parents.

Week 1 To Week 14

The first week of pregnancy is when you are not pregnant. Doctors calculate your pregnancy from the first day of your last period. Your egg and the sperm unite for fertilization towards the end of the second week. The third week starts and your body is still ignorant of the fertilization. It is only when the egg gets implanted in the uterus that your body realizes whats happening and then starts a series of hormonal changes making you feel somethings wrong. This happens in the 4th and 5th week. Morning sickness appears.

Week 5 to 14 is a busy time, as there is a rapid development of the embryo from a bunch of cells to a baby with distinct identity.

Week 15 To Week 26

This trimester is full of changes and development in the baby. So, continue to keep a check on your pregnancy week by week. Your babys ears, eyes, and other facial features become distinct. She has tiny limbs. All her organs are on the verge of development. Her heart has started pumping too. By the 18th week, your babys fingerprints begin to develop.

By the 19th week, if the baby is a girl, her egg cells start to develop in her ovaries. Your baby has hair all over her body and she begins to sleep and wake up. By the 21st week, the doctor can hear your babys heartbeats with the help of a stethoscope. And by the 24th week, your doctor can hear the heartbeats without stethoscope by putting her ear on your belly. By the 25th week, your babys brain starts working.

Week 27 To Week 40

By this time, you will start feeling the kicks of your baby. By the 29th week, your baby has her senses working and her lungs are able to breathe air. By the 32nd week, your baby can see, hear, smell, feel, and taste. She will change her position and her head will slide down in the next three weeks. By the 37th week, you should be prepared for signs of labor.

As you continue to keep a tab on your pregnancy week by week and enter the 40th week, the wait for your baby starts. Be ready, she can arrive any time

Keeping a track of your pregnancy week by week and getting proper information about different pregnancy stages can help you cope with your pregnancy better and to enjoy good pregnancy health.

Pregnancy is a time of amazing joy. A woman bringing life into the world. You pick out baby furniture, paint the room and begin setting it up. Clothes that always seemed small and darling will be what your child will be wearing. You gain weight slowly and get to see the baby on an ultrasound. However, for many women, the joy of child birth can bring panic attacks too. So how does a pregnant woman deal with panic attacks?

Well, to be honest, the attacks can happen before the woman decides to get pregnant and after she has the baby in post partum depression. It is noted that six percent of women who do develop panic disorder get it after the child is born. However, both points are still being studied on.

There are several stressors in our lives… both positive and negative events. Example: You take a new job…a positive effect. Yet, there are many things that need to be done that causes stress.

Getting pregnant is the same way. It can be positive and joyous but it is one of the most changing life event ever experienced. It can cause panic disorders through the tension and stress that is caused from the anxiety one feels.

When the stress level rises, physical panic reactions ensue. This can make them feel as if they have lost all control of their mind and body. Some even feel that have lost their self-esteem. This is the time when self-esteem should be at its highest level before the baby’s birth.

In the third trimester, the brain produces a chemical called serotonin which produces during fear and worry times. Since the chemical is released, panic attacks can become frequent and be intense.

As the impact of the pregnancy grows, the woman’s ability to cope with family and the impending birth is starting to take a toll on her. For those who have suffered panic attacks during pregnancy, it is not uncommon to feel even more frustration and fear already felt from just being pregnant.

It is imperative that pregnant women and her family understand what goes on when she is suffering with panic disorder. The body is already in extreme distress from the pregnancy and panic attacks further aggravate the issue. She may find she cannot cope, cannot be trusted to make good judgments and is more tired trying to maintain self control. There are some mothers-to-be who suffer self-doubt about being a good mother.

Physical symptoms of a panic attack in pregnancy is much similar to everyone else who gets panic attacks. They are:

* Shortness of breathe
* Racing heartbeats
* Hot flashes
* dizziness

Psychological effects can be described by the following symptoms:

* fear of losing control
* fear of dying
* fear of being inadequate

Should a pregnant woman suffer from panic disorder, it is imperative she speak with her physician. Sometimes a mild prescription can be given to her if the symptoms warrant it. These effects can be quite debilitating but taking responsibility for the treatment plan can help in reducing anxiety.

Relaxation techniques including meditation and yoga are suitable programs for pregnant women. Plus a woman can change her negative thoughts into positive ones and reduce the low self esteem that she feels.

If at all possible, if there are signs of stress or anxiety, family members and the woman should be seen by her doctor.
