What did you do. Would your doctor prescribe antidepresants? I can’t deal with this anymore. I was so excited about the baby the whole pregnancy and now I don’t even feel like I want to have the baby anymore and it scares me! I have no appitite and I am having panic attacks. I’m going to the docter on Wednesday, I’m just wondering what he can do for me. It feels hopeless!

i really need to calm down. i am so stressed about not having money, not having room in our small apartment, not having money to get maternity clothes, not feeling the least bit attractive, being in an abusive relationship with the baby’s father, etc, etc, etc,.

i cry everyday, i get so upset over every little thing and i feel that dying would be a nice thing on most days.

Sex During Pregnancy

Sex is among the top most enjoyable activities practiced by couples. Why should this be any different during the nine months of pregnancy? Most expectant parents worry whether sex during pregnancy will harm the baby or cause discomfort, pain or even miscarriage.Sex is safe during pregnancy provided you have a low risk pregnancy with few complications. Your doctor will let you know if you should avoid sex for any reason at all. Most women can enjoy a healthy and fulfilling intimate relationship throughout their pregnancy, right up until their delivery date.Second, we still tend to think about sex as if there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. In this case many of us have this idea that there is one right (or safe) way to have sex during pregnancy. This is not true. The first thing one must understand is how pregnancy affects the body of the woman. Pregnancy occurs when the male sperm fertilizes the egg cell of the female. This fertilized egg is called as the embryo, which gets implanted in the uterus. Pregnancy brings about a host of changes in the woman, the first of them being the pause in the menstrual cycles.

Pregnancy brings mood swings to the couple, many times only temporarily. The father can experience the pride of fatherhood, and at the same time anxiety in front of the new responsibilities; overprotection towards his partner; and in some cases, he is even jealous of the interest you are giving to your pregnancy. All this can affect the mutual feelings and the desire for having sex relationships. It is particularly important to preserve the life of the couple and their privacy during this period. Of course, during pregnancy, the woman sees great physical and psychological changes; she can see her libido changed. Indeed, some women feel very feminine and willing to have sex. To a great extent, hormones are responsible because they accentuate the sensitivity of the breasts and genitals.

Taking Xanax during pregnancy?

I am currently 5 weeks pregnant. I have been taking Xanax for 4 years. Prior to that I was on Ativan and have also been on Klonopin. I have severe anxiety and panic attacks. My husband and I were trying to get pregnant so I told my psychiatrist our plans. She said I should not even try to get pregnant while still taking Xanax. A week and a half after my appointment with her I found out I was pregnant. I take 1.5 mg in the morning, .5 in the afternoon and 1.5 before bed.

She has started tapering my doses. However Im terrified of the withdrawl symptoms I might have and that my anxiety will be unbearable.
