Does anyone have to deal with anxiety disorder while pregnant? I wanted to post this in mental health to get more answers on this question, what can I do to keep it in check? I was on 3 mg of xanax and 30 mg of a sedative everyday to keep it under control,as I was diagnosed with slight post truamatic stress disorder, severe anxiey/panic attacks, and agoraphobia.
I had to stop all of my medicine,I just stopped and didn’t ask to be weaned off or anything, and I’m having a really hard time with this,I would really appreciate the answers guys, and best answer will be chosen!
I have no risk of self harm, not diagnosed with depression and it’s never a thought on my mind.

In my past I have had unprotected sex with 3 men that were not my husband. I just gave blood for my routine hiv test with pregnancy. I am so worried, I am healthy, but I know it can lay dormant in your system for a long time. Those of you who already had the test, were you really anxious and did it turn out okay?

I was hospitalized in 2004 with a severe anxiety disorder, it was to the point that I didnt know what was wrong with me, and why i did not feel right, and was ready to “end” it. I was so tired of feeling mental.
I was put on Paxil CR for 2 years, switched to Lexapro when Paxil was recalled, then one year later, switched back when it back on the market. So Overall I have been on Paxil CR mostly.

The past 2 weeks have been intense for me. These things were all in no way positive. I got used to a life where not much happened and all of a sudden a million things got thrown at me, not good.
I started getting a gag reflex I guess you could call it. I felt sick for a whole week and had sharp pains. During this time I started taking TUMS which I know have a lot of calcium. I think there was a day where I exceeded the 5 maximum per day, and I was constantly chewing them for about 3/4 days and now I stopped.
Is it possible I’m still having stomach pains from the anxiety, or because the tums made me become dependent.

I have anxiety disorder, where i have little episodes of panic attacks when i am really stressed out, well last night I went to bed, I laid there with my boyfriend and my son in the room, both sleeping i started to drift off to sleep, I know i wasn’t fully asleep yet, because i could hear the song. I began to see images in my mind as if i was about to dream. I can’t really remember but i remember i woke up, in my dream laying there feeling numb, like i could not move a muscle, i started to scream to my boyfriend calling his name, but the thought came to me that i wasn’t even talking. So i started to cry, still trying to get my boyfriends attention.
And out of nowhere, it sounded like pounding, it got darker and darker and i could no longer hear the music and my chest got tight, and i couldn’t even breathe.

Being pregnant is one of the most beautiful things, but not when you are suffering from panic and anxiety attacks. Suffering from anxiety and panic attacks is actually quite common for a lot of pregnant women. It is a very exciting time for a mother-to-be, however at the same time, it can be a time of uncertainties and wondering about what is to come. Fear and worry can also creep into a lot of women’s minds and spoil their journey and bonding with their unborn babies.
With all the excitement, worry and unanswered questions that come with most pregnancies, it is no surprise that some women can develop anxiety or panic attacks. This is also worsened by the fact that the body, as a result of the pregnancy is going through some sort of transformation, with the chemical, physical and hormonal changes. Do not despair though, the anxiety and panic attacks that seem to be creeping on you can be controlled, or the effects lessened.

Postpartum depression is very different from the “baby blues,” a normal period of emotional fluctuation and tearfulness in the first few weeks following the birth of a child.
