Is it possible to test a false positive on a pregnancy test just from sheer anxiety over being pregnant?

Can your mind trick your body into thinking it’s pregnant therefore testing positive falsely?

No, it’s hcG that shows up as positive on a test. Hormones, not stress.

No that can’t happen. You get a positive because of the pregnancy hormone not stress and anxiety.
False positives are rare-and cannot be caused by anxiety. In fact, most “false” positives are actually pregnancies that terminate naturally-either a “molar” pregnancy or something similar. While there are cases of false pregnancies-where woman lactate and show other symptoms of being pregnant, a hormone test remains negative in those cases.
Nope! False positives only occur if you have recently been pregnant or had hCG (the pregnancy hormone that the tests look for) injections. Otherwise, there is no way for a test to pick up on you having hCG in your system unless you are pregnant! You only produce this hormone in pregnancy.
It is alot easier to get a false negative. Its much easier to miss something than to detect something that just isnt there. So if you have a positive and a negative pregnancy test, the positive one is the accurate one.
absoloutly not. its a hormone that makes it positive not stress. you can stress out and make your body have pregnant like symptoms but you cant fool a test. you have a higher chance of having a false neg than a false positive. to quote juno…”youre eggo…is preggo”
