I am 27 weeks and for the first time started to experience panic attacks. I was placed under a lot of stress today and seemed to basically go into shutdown mode. Normally, I am able to control my emotions better then this. Has this ever happened to you?

To put a long story short… I’m 20 weeks pregnant, keep having panic attacks and just want relief!
I’d like to know how to prevent them, but the problem with that is that I’m not sure what triggers them! They pretty much come out of no where. I don’t think I’ve met anyone else that has random panic attacks, is this common?
I’ve had anxiety/panic disorder for about five years, so it’s nothing new.

I am suffering with panic attacks during my pregnancy (I am currently 3 months preg.) This is not something that accured because of getting pregnant either. I had them starting about a year ago. Before, there used to be an incident that caused them, but I have gotten over that completely, but because I have experienced the “horror” of having a panic attack now my fear is simply THEM, just getting them. So if I start to feel hot, shaky, low on breath, or anything I think I am getting one and send myself into them. I used to take Wellbutrin during the day and Klonpin when I had the attacks (which by the way are ONLY at nighttime) I stopped taking meds because I’m pregnant (I am sooo glad to be off them and feel like a normal healthy girl, but I do wish I had some relief when they came back.) Sofar the deep breathing has helped. Any suggestions?
