Question by honalie: Cervical cancer and pregnancy with lots of pain?
I have had precancerous cell’s for almost 2 years (since march of 08) I have had 3 biopsy’s and numerous pap’s. They went from low-grade to high-grade throughout that time, but for the past 6 months have not gotten worse. I have been putting off the LEEP procedure that they keep pushing for, because I wanted to have another baby and didn’t want an incompetent cervix to complicate the pregnancy. I have a 2 year old now that was premature. Didn’t want to go through that again.

But about 2 months ago I started getting sharp inter mitten pains that have increased with time. before it was every time I cough or laugh, now it is all the time. I had an appointment to get another pap and biopsy in Jan (this month) So 2 months ago I made up my mind to finally just go in and get the procedure done. Having those pains made it all a lot more “real” and I felt I waited long enough for results to change, and that I would worry a lot less to just go ahead and do it.
